Air Cargo Security Manager

Every secure air cargo entity, such as a known consignor or regulated agent should employ a Security Manager trained in accordance with 11.2.5 EU 20115/1998. The basic Security Manager training is recognized by the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security (NCTV) and the Royal Netherlands Military Constabulary. The basic training concludes with a Cito exam. After you have passed then you will receive a security manager certificate and a Cito certificate with which you can demonstrate to the Royal Military Police that you are certified as a security manager.

CAUTION:

This training can only be followed with a valid VOG or VGB.
The valid VOG/VGB must be shown at the start of the training, in addition, a valid ID / passport / driver's license must be shown.
If the trainee does not possess a valid VOG/VGB, the trainee will be refused.

For Whom

The course is intended for the person who is responsible for maintaining the approval on behalf of the known consignor or the regulated agent. You will draft the security program and underlying documents and act as the liaison between the company and the Royal Military Police. You will draw up the internal quality program and ensure that the work is carried out within the framework of the national regulations for air cargo security.

Course material

The course is taught using the National Training Program for Civil Aviation Security (NOBB) and applicable European and national regulations.

Each participant receives a comprehensive course book, which clearly explains the material and you can use as a reference book.

Note - CITO

After attending the basic Security Manager training, you will receive a code with which you can register for the CITO at various locations in the Netherlands. You can register here via the CITO website at a location and time that is convenient for you. The cost of this is not included in the course.

If you successfully complete the exam, you will receive a certificate from CITO that is valid for 5 years. To keep the certificate valid, you must attend a Security Manager refresher course of 1.5 days within 30 months (2.5 years).

After 5 years you can attend another refresher training and reapply for your CITO exam through SCS.

Duration of the course

The Basic Security Manager course consists of a three (3) day classroom training:
All days: 09:00 to 17:00

The security manager refresher course consists of one and a half (1.5) days of classroom training:

Day 1: 09:00 - 17:00

Day 2: 09:00 - 13:00
