About the training
Every Regulated Agent where security screenings take place must employ a Screener trained in accordance with 11.2.4 EU 2015/1998, Article 11.2.3.2.

The Air Cargo Screener course authorizes staff to carry out security screenings on unsecured shipments in order to detect prohibited items.

Prerequisites & Admission

• Valid Security Clearance (VGB)
• A valid Medewerker Luchtvracht (A) (11.2.3.9) certificate

Important: At the start of the training, the participant must present a valid VGB and a valid ID (passport, driver’s license, or identity card). Without a valid VGB, participation is not possible.

Training duration

• Basic training: : 2 days (16 hours) in-class
• Refresher training: 3 hours in-class or 3 hours via e-learning

Course materials
The training is based on the National Training Programme for Civil Aviation Security (NOBB) and applicable EU and national regulations.
