IATA 7.4 – Laden en lossen van vliegtuigen en ULD's
About this training
The safe and efficient transportation of dangerous goods by air requires competent personnel, meaning that employees must be trained in the functions for which they are responsible - whether or not this is stated in the job description. This is best achieved through competency-based training and assessment (CBTA).
For whom?
Personnel responsible for the handling of dangerous goods in warehouses and loading and unloading of aircraft and ULDs, as per IATA's DGR - section 1.5 and in accordance with function 7.4 in IATA's 'Dangerous Goods Training Guidance'.
This training was previously known as categories 5 and 8 in the IATA DGR training requirements.
Course content
The key topics that are covered during this course include:
- understanding the basics of the transport of dangerous goods by air;
- recognizing dangerous goods;
- planning and preparing loading for aircraft;
- loading and unloading of dangerous goods on/from aircraft and ULDs;
- reporting dangerous goods accidents.
Course materials
- This course requires students to have access to the latest edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
- The E-learning is interactive where possible accompanied with images, making the explanations easy to follow.
- If desired, the course can be interrupted at any time. If the course is then restarted, it continues where it left off.
Duration of course
- Course constist out of 4 to 6 hours of e-learning.

Het veilig en efficiënt vervoer van gevaarlijke stoffen door de lucht vraagt om competent personeel, hetgeen betekent dat medewerkers moeten zijn opgeleid in de functies waarvoor zij verantwoordelijk zijn - ongeacht of dit al dan niet in de functieomschrijving staat vermeld. Dit wordt het best bereikt door een op competenties gebaseerde opleiding en beoordeling (CBTA – Competency Based Training and Assessment).
Voor wie?
Deze cursus wordt aanbevolen voor "Personeel dat verantwoordelijk is voor de behandeling van gevaarlijke stoffen in loodsen en het laden en lossen van vliegtuigen en ULD’s" volgens IATA\'s DGR - sectie 1.5 en in overeenstemming met functie 7.4 in IATA\'s "Dangerous Goods Training Guidance".
Voorheen was deze opleiding bekend als categorie 5 en 8 in de trainingsvoorschriften van de IATA DGR.
Inhoud van de cursus
De belangrijkste onderwerpen die tijdens deze cursus aan bod komen, zijn onder meer:
- de basisbeginselen van het vervoer van gevaarlijke stoffen door de lucht;
- behandelen van gevaarlijke stoffen;
- plannen en voorbereiden van het laden van vliegtuigen;
- laden en lossen van gevaarlijke stoffen in of uit vliegtuigen en ULD’s;
- rapporteren van incidenten met gevaarlijke stoffen.
Cursusmateriaal
- Voor deze cursus is het noodzakelijk dat de cursist beschikt over de laatste editie van de IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
- De E-learning is waar mogelijk interactief en voorzien van afbeeldingen, waardoor de uitleg goed te volgen is.
- Desgewenst kan de cursus op elk moment worden onderbroken, als de cursus daarna opnieuw wordt gestart gaat deze verder op het punt waar men gebleven is.
