This course is recommended for 'Personnel responsible for preparing, handling or accepting Radioactive consignments for transport by air’ according to IATA's DGR - section 1.5 and in accordance with function 7.1 & 7.3 in IATA's Dangerous Goods Training Guidance.

Course materials
The course is given on the basis of the latest edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, the handbook used in practice by the aviation industry for the transport of dangerous goods by air. This handbook is on loan for participants for the duration of the course. In addition, each participant receives an extensive course book, in which the material is clearly discussed and explained in the English language. This course book contains a large number of exercises that prepare the student for the exam.
Course prerequisite
To attend this initial training, the student must first complete an awareness training that is part of this training via an online module or be in possession of a similar certification

Cursusmateriaal
De cursus wordt gegeven aan de hand van de laatste editie van de Engelstalige IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, het in de praktijk door de luchtvaartindustrie gebruikte handboek voor het vervoer van gevaarlijke stoffen door de lucht. Dit handboek wordt voor de duur van de cursus aan de deelnemers in bruikleen gegeven.
Daarnaast ontvangt iedere deelnemer een uitgebreid cursusboek, waarin op duidelijke wijze in de Nederlandse taal de materie wordt besproken en uitgelegd. Dit cursusboek bevat een groot aantal opgaven waarmee de cursist wordt voorbereid op het examen.
Vereiste vooropleiding
Voor deelname aan de basistraining dient de cursist eerst de bewustwordingstraining te volgen behorende bij deze training via een online module of in het bezit te zijn van een soortgelijke certificering.
