IATA 7.8 – Flight Operations Officers & Flight Dispatchers

In this training you learn how to deal with dangerous goods as a flight operator or flight dispatcher. This training meets the mandatory training requirements of the IATA DGR.

For whom
This course is recommended for 'Flight Operations Officers and Flight Dispatchers' as per IATA's DGR - section 1.5 and in accordance with function 7.8 in IATA's 'Dangerous Goods Training Guidance'. The training is mandatory for flight operators and flight dispatchers dealing with airplanes containing dangerous cargo.

You will learn to

• Manage dangerous goods pre and during flight.
• Apply dangerous goods regulations.
• Understand and identify limitations, roles and responsibilities.
• Understand classification, packaging and hazard communication.
• Familiarize with basic emergency response.
• Address dangerous goods not permitted in baggage.
• Interpret NOTOC (Notification to Captain)

Praktical information

• The course is an e-learning, which takes 3.5 hours time.
• The e-learning is available in English and Dutch (for Dutch: IATA 7.8 - Vluchtoperators en vluchtplanners).

Certification

• The certificate is valid for 24 months.
• SCS Training & Consultancy B.V. is an approved CBTA Provider.
