The logistics of pharmaceuticals is a discipline of its own. To ensure the quality of medicines during distribution, the European Union has established specific guidelines: Good Distribution Practices (GDP). Starting now, Special Cargo College – in collaboration with GDP specialist Pharmatech – offers courses that provide all the essential knowledge you need for the logistics and transportation of pharmaceutical products.
GDP Awareness
One of the key requirements in the GDP guidelines is that every logistics and transport employee involved with pharmaceuticals must be aware of the risks their work may pose to medicine quality. That’s why we offer our online training ‘GDP Awareness’. In just under an hour, you’ll learn about the risks associated with pharmaceutical storage and distribution, and the importance of following GDP rules.

An addition to our training portfolio
Special Cargo College is a specialist in training for the transport of hazardous materials. The international regulations ADR, IATA DGR, and IMDG Code are designed to ensure the safe transport of such materials. Sometimes, this includes pharmaceuticals. In that case, companies must comply with both transport and GDP regulations, which go hand in hand. With this addition, we aim to offer our clients the opportunity to take all required training under one roof.
GDP-compliant transport at Special Cargo?
You can also count on Special Cargo for the actual transportation of pharmaceutical products under GDP certification. Our transport division, Isologic, handles shipments for the pharmaceutical and medical industries and holds a GDP certification. For more information, contact us at info@iso-logic.nl
More GDP and GMP courses coming soon
We will soon be expanding our training portfolio with additional GDP and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) courses, allowing us to serve the pharmaceutical industry even more broadly. Want to learn more? Get in touch at Sales@specialcargo.nl or call 085 7922885.
