This means that employees working with critical information systems in the secure air cargo chain are required to complete a Cybersecurity Awareness training. Special Cargo College is the first training provider in the Netherlands to offer this course.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/heading\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why new regulations<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/paragraph\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<p>This new obligation has been announced by the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (KMar) and is based on Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015\/1998, Article 11.2.8.2. Digital security is becoming an increasingly important part of aviation security. Cyber threats are growing, and information systems play a crucial role in keeping the chain safe.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/heading\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Demonstrable knowledge<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/paragraph\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<p>Therefore, the security programs of regulated agents and known consignors must be supplemented with specific information on cybersecurity. This must be implemented no later than mid-October. This means that certain employees must demonstrably have knowledge of cybersecurity. For this reason, a mandatory Cybersecurity training is now introduced for those working with critical ICT systems.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/heading\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For whom?<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/paragraph\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<p>The training is mandatory for employees who have access to digital systems that contribute to the security of civil aviation. For example:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/list\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>HR information systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EU database for known consignors and regulated agents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Booking systems (AWB)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cargonaut (E-link)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Warehouse management systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CCTV systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access control systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lftp lavendr-block aligndefault cta no-media\" id=\"lf-cta-block_cbd21e1fd181aa7c59da88b288ede6f6\"  style=><figure class=\"component image border-ornament\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/college.specialcargo.com\/wp-content\/mu-plugins\/lavendr-framework-child\/assets\/img\/border-01.svg\" class=\"media lazyload\" alt=\"\" role=\"presentation\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\"><\/figure><div class=\"inner\">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n        <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col-12\">\n                <div class=\"content-wrapper\">\n                    <div class=\"inner\"><div class=\"text-wrapper\"><div class=\"component text-block alignment-start \">\n    <div class=\"inner\"><h2 class=\"component text heading\">Cyber threats are growing, and information systems play a crucial role in keeping the chain safe<\/h2><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/heading\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is exempt?<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/paragraph\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<p>There are exceptions: employees who have already completed a training from NOBB (such as Employee, Inspector, Supervisor, or Security Manager) do not need to take the new training. In addition, IT specialists who have completed a recognized education program with a substantial cybersecurity component may be exempted by the security manager. However, the organization must document this administratively and be able to demonstrate it during an audit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/heading\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Cybersecurity Awareness e-learning<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container \" data-type=\"core\/paragraph\"><div class=\"row justify-content-center\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-12 col-lg-10 col-xl-8\"> \n<p>As the first training provider in the Netherlands, Special Cargo College already offers this mandatory training. It is an e-learning course, available in Dutch or English, lasting approximately two hours. The training is accessible but contains essential knowledge about cyber threats, minimizing risks, and how to respond to cyberattacks.
